About Denis Duri

I Could give you some generic, boring introduction about how good I am, How I have helped Enterprise and MSPs to automate their private and public clouds, how I have helped identify up to 30% in cost savings or even how I helped customers identify where they are spending in their public clouds and then helped them manage their cloud spend. But , like I said, that is rather generic So let me tell you why I do what I do instead.I am a technologist at heart and love to tinker with new technology and understand how it can help me, the organisation I am working with and my customers. My core passion is around self service, automation, orchestration and Cloud spend management.Having a deep knowledge in these areas with the drive to keep learning means that I understand the who, how, what and why when a customer is looking at a Cloud Management Platform or a Cloud Cost Management Platform.Call me lazy, but I always try to find ways of automating my job. If I do something that is repeatable, I will automate that task. I do this all the time with customers, showing them how they can change from a convoluted processes and lengthy wait times to form driven requests that follow standard business process in an automated fashion with governed, consistent and repeatable outcomes within a far shorter time frame. Just imagine all the time you will have for activities and this goes for both deploying IaaS/PaaS/Other things and Cloud Cost Management. When I am not speaking with customers, I am building new things to help us help current and future customers. When I am not building new things, I enjoy coaching and mentoring team members from across the globe at all levels. It is a great feeling seeing my colleagues succeed at work and knowing I have attributed to their success.Apart from all the work items that make me happy, my biggest motivation is my family. Being a good husband to my wife, a role model for my daughter and affording them opportunities and experiences in life that we may have missed out on whilst we were growing up. My family is my world and the biggest reason I continue to succeed in my career. They support and encourage me to do and be better and are understanding of my sometimes erratic work hours. This allows me to be there for them. I rarely miss a school play, swimming event, athletics carnival, birthday, holiday and other special occasions as. Spending quality time with them is a must.Hopefully this has given you a small insight into who I am and why I Do what I do.
