As a PQAs (Pennsylvania Quality Assurance) certified trainer, I engage adult learners in hands-on, minds-on lessons across various training topics such as curriculum and assessment, child growth and development, and professionalism and leadership, to improve their teaching abilities and to maximize their professional development portfolios.

As the Childcare Director, I am responsible for the daily operations of all childcare and preschool programs for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. I ensure our facility maintains the Dpeartment of Human Services licensing requirements, meets Keystone Star 3 standards, and performs childcare best practices. In addition, I script grants, manage financial records, and organize quarterly fundraisers. I lead a team of 24 teachers, where together we grow and learn with 125 enrolled children and their families.

The Hope Express is a 135-mile run that was created with the intention of bridging the gap between the families on the 7th floor at the Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA and the Dancers at the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (aka THON). THON is a year round fundraising event benefiting The Four Diamonds Fund, Conquering Childhood cancer.  The three Hope Express routes will be completed by three teams of 46 runners (and moralers) over a 24 hour period. This team will consist of THON alumni and Four Diamond families (past and present). Just as THON dancers participate in the no-sitting, no-sleeping, two day dance marathon held every February, enduring hours of fatigue, pain and delirium, the Hope Express runners and moralers will have to endure the cold, harsh, winter weather of a very cold night in February.
