About Denise Barry

I'm a bit of an HR nerd. Since university when I first studied Psychology in the Workplace, I was hooked on Human Resources and Organizational Development and knew I wanted to work in the field. I am passionate about engaging with people and continuously learning about what drives performance, employee loyalty, and satisfaction, and using it to drive business strategy. My HR career spans 20+ years of progressive experience in the Apparel, Technology, Telecommunications, Transportation, and Travel industries working with family-owned companies, and public international corporations but my niche and passion is fast-growth Startups, to date I've been a founding employee at 3 start-ups. I work hands-on with the C+ Suite, Executive Management, and Talent Acquisition teams in creating and aligning HR practices, processes, and recruitment in support of company objectives.
