Kicking off a career in hospitality at a young age as a hostess at the luxury mountain resort of the Stein Eriksen Lodge provided a learning opportunity of hands on experience. With a thirst for knowledge of the restaurant and event business, I quickly moved through each position of food and beverage and into restaurant and banquet management. I took my knowledge from the luxury mountain resort to five star five diamond ocean front resort, The Four Seasons Resort Maui. I started my journey as an Assistant Manager in the fasted paced lunch restaurant that was transitioning from casual dining to fine dining, moved to alterative positions-(in the unfortunate months after September 11th, travel to the island was minimal. I took a position working as a hospitality manager for the 2002 winter Olympics in Salt Lake City) until I accepted the wedding manager position. There I became an experienced luxury wedding and event planner. Supporting my growth in the luxury event market I took classes by Cindy Novotny in Master Connection training as well as continued growing in food and beverage. Post hotel, I continued my career at Sugar Beach Events which was in the infant stages of opening as a Wedding and Event Specialist. As exciting as Sugar Beach was an unforeseen opportunity to create an event venue from dream to reality presented itself and Lahaina Loft was born. I was given full creative liberty from the layout, design, branding and marketing of the space. Being the creator, I handle all the inquiries, the day to day sales, social media, marketing, event coordinator, billing, and manage onsite for all events. Lahaina Loft has a five star rating on Google, 2022 we were ranked 3rd as Top Local Business, 2023 we won The Knot Best of Weddings, Alignabe Local Person of the Year and Wedding Rule Editors Choice Winner.
