I work in a busy English Language school teaching all levels of English including Business English, General English and English for Academic purposes. I work with a fantastic team and have all the teaching aids available to me to make my job dynamic and creative. Our students are all ages: Adults, teenagers and families. I find my job very rewarding. I worked in this field prior to studying law and always found it extremely interesting and challenging, hence I have returned to this field. I have also worked with Refugees and Asylum seekers on a voluntary basis.

Negotiating on the Bargaining Committee on behalf of our teachers to secure a new Collective Agreement.

I hosted a Radio show "In the claddagh Ring" once a month, or when required. This Music Show brought Celtic music to our listeners. We also had live bands visit the studio and conducted interviews onsite..

Mediation and Negotiation with individuals and Businesses that are in financial difficulty. Researching options available for those in debt across Canada. Trying to find solutions to avoid costly court actions.

Drafting documents for court and conducting research. I also interviewed clients.

At the Phoenix Project I was managing the case load. We met with clients who were in arrears with their mortgages or business loans or had other considerable debt. We assessed their cases individually and made representations to the various lending institutions on their behalf. I was responsible for analysing each case from a legal perspective.

I practiced as a Barrister in Ireland up to July 2012 and qualified as a Legal Mediator in the fields of civil and commercial law.I re-located to Vancouver BC.

Free Legal Advice in the Community is a service which makes legal advice accessible to all clients regardless of their means. FLAC offers advice in clinics around Ireland to all those who need to avail of services. I vounteered in these centres on a weekly basis and gained valuable experience there as FLAC deals with all types of cases. I also helped with the rota to make sure that all centres were staffed when open to the public.

This was an exciting full-time seasonal job, singing,dancing,acting etc at the Banquet in Bunratty Castle. We met people from all over the world and the training provided ensured we presented a professional manner at all times.

I worked as part of a large team on an Early School Leaver's Project (Pilot Scheme) for 8 - 15 Year olds with the Department of Education. This involved designing programmes to encourage the young people to remain in school and weekly meetings were held to brain-storm and monitor progress. We liased with home -school liason officers, gardaí, social workers and teachers as well as parents to ensure the welfare of the child was always at the center of our focus.

I was responsible for promoting the preservation of Irish language and culture in the greater London area. I organised classes in language,culture,dance and music and gave frequent press releases regarding events being held at the community centre. I organised meetings and kept the minutes of same for distribution. I also contacted sponsors for doantions.
