Provide behavioral support to students either in a one on one or in small groups to encourage positive behaviors.Assist with emotional dysregulation through verbal de-escalation and other hands-off techniques.

As the PreK Special Education Coordinator I worked to support the Preschool co-op between SouthSide and St. Louis Language Immersion and the needs of students who have special education needs. As the first PreK SPED Coordinator I held to build the Preschool Special Education Department, introduced staff on how to implement IEPs, BIPs, work with SpedTrak and supported both regular and special education staff with academic and behavior strategy support.

I enjoyed working with a wonderful team through the Festus, Hillsboro, and Jefferson R-VII school districts in a PAT Cooperation. We pushed into public and private daycares/preschools as well as screened children (ages 3 months-5 years) in our classroom. This position allowed me to truly understand how to screen young children using a variety of tools.

I thoroughly enjoyed being the 8th grade science teacher. While teaching I also coached HS Pom Squad, oversaw the MS Junior Honor Society, became the District Professional Development Chair, District Mentoring Coordinator, and Secondary Science Chair.During my last year of teaching I was also the middle school Curriculum Coordinator.
