Assisted in managing a $3.4 million operational budget, directly supervising 3 coordinators and 80-150 staff in three departments. Responsibilities included training, certifications and reviews of all employees. Evaluated, maintained and updated equipment in multiple areas to establish a 5 year rotation, in turn reducing cost of maintenance and increasing member retention. Lead the team that implemented the new Y branding from placement within the building to standards required when creating marketing materials, clothing, etc. Developed community relationships to implement YMCA initiatives into daily operations. These relationships include 3 universities, 3 school districts, 30 community agencies, 2 hospitals, State Representatives and various business professionals. Contributed to daily operations through membership sales, special event planning and implementation, fundraising and relationship building with members and the community. Organized multi-tiered events and logistics with media, hospitals, assisted living facilities, corporations, and 250 volunteers for an event that served over 5000 people and provided free back packs and school supplies to over 2000 kids in the community two years in a row. Obtained multiple grants to develop programs that covered the cost of providing water aerobics for free, running a referral program for low income kids that were obese to work with a personal trainer and dietitian for free, and championed the group that received 100% of United Way requested funding in 2012-2013. Lead the group of top ranking community people from both hospitals, the school district, private businesses and other nonprofits to make positive changes in the community in the areas of wellness, nutrition and smoking sensation.
