AFS USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, works toward a more just and peaceful world by providing international and intercultural learning experiences to individuals, families, schools, and communities through a global volunteer partnership.HOSTING PROGRAMS SPECIALIST The Hosting Program Specialist will work in partnership with fellow Hosting Program Specialists and with volunteers to ensure the achievement of regional hosting goals as determined by the President of AFS-USA, and in full compliance with Department of State and AFS regulations and guidelines. Integral to success will be collaboration with other members of the regional staff team on initiatives related to the Strategic Plan, including school outreach, volunteer recruitment, and community impact. I work with teams in Austin, San Antonio, Texas Gulf Coast, Arkansas and Virginia. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Ensure that all students assigned to the region receive on-time placements with screen host families• Maintain strict adherence to DoS and AFS standards and guidelines• Effectively train and lead volunteers in AFS hosting processes and practices• Incorporate IDEA standards into all facets of role• Act as a supportive and collaborative member of a cross-functional regional staff team• Possible travel up to 20% of work time

I provide technical assistance and support to counties in PA to engage youth and parents who are involved in child welfare. I advocate for families and believe that families should get all the assistance and resources they need to stay together.

Scheduled and dispatched technicians. Set up routine maintenance service and prepared invoices.

Scheduled HVAC, plumbers and electrical technicians, invoicing and billing, tracking of parts and material and provided excellent customer service.

I worked in solving issues with the stores and their HVAC, EMS, lighting and cooler issues. I have worked on a Cooler Replacement project with a budget of 4.5 million dollars. The cooler replacement project is to check with all the stores nationwide and determine what coolers and freezers they have and how old they are and what kind of condition they are in. I then ordered new ones as needed and provided technicians to install the coolers and freezers and any electrical work that is needed. My duties also included dialing into the stores energy management systems to see if I can solve their problem through there or if I have to dispatch a tech to the store to handle. I also dispatched for cooler and lighting issues.
