I am a self-starter who is avid about personal growth and career advancement. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and entrepreneur, I focus on self-awareness, collaborative communication, and effective conflict management. My second career field in instructional design and higher education curriculum faculty have afforded me the opportunities to influence learning on a larger scale than individual counseling could provide. As an Instructional Design Team Lead for 9 years, and a Senior Instructional Designer, my focus is the collaborative synergy of effective teams - whether as lead or member. The principles of personal growth and emotional intelligence are interwoven within the design of courses I teach, that include: Leadership Development, Relational Conflict Management, Communication in Cultural Conflict Context, and Principles of Communication and Conflict. As the editor of the TOPkit.org Ask ADDIE quarterly publication, I am responsible for content development, working with authors, and editing content (format, wordsmith, etc.). This provides scholarly and creative idea generation, and continues to build my skill with writing formats.My objectives are to strategically assist professionals to reach their personal and professional objectives through a variety of teaching opportunities & methods; to create and implement effective and innovative teaching program designs; and, to communicate with others in respectful and collaborative ways.
