Third grade classroom teacher of all subjects including Art, Music, and Science. I am responsible for designing and implementing common core curriculum lessons in all areas. I differentiate my lessons in order to reach each student. I work with parents and students in order to maintain open communication. I assist them before and after school for maximum understanding.

I took over the daily duties of the 2nd grade teacher,Melissa Zorbas, while she was out on a maternity leave. I was responsible for teaching math, reading, phonics, science and social studies. I graded the students testing materials and homework. I completed their report cards and met with parents for parent teacher meetings. I kept in constant contact with Mrs. Zorbas in order for the transition to be smooth for the students and to keep Mrs. Zorbas informed.

I was a floating aide for the seventh and eigth grade classrooms. I would assist the primary classroom teachers by circulating among the students as the worked. I would assist the teacher by distributing and collecting classroom materials. I was also responsible for a remedial reading group of 7th graders. My duties were to assemble them and meet in the library for 45 min. daily and work on their reading and comprehension skills.
