Research AssistantDevelopment Studies Centre University Of Cambridge Feb 2012 - Dec 2012Cambridge, Verenigd KoninkrijkMember of a research team composed by Dr. Shailaja Fennell, University Lecturer of Development Studies, Cambridge. The assignment focused on the responses of households towards the quality of education of public-private educational partnerships. My task focused on coding and concluding on the raw field date which had already been gathered in the rural site of Ndeiya, Kenya. The method of coding was based on the model provided by Hirschman (1970) whereby individuals respond to resources that are offered to them in three different manners; through “exit”, “voice” or “loyalty”. Having adapted this model to the conducted research the aim was to draw a comparison between the obtained data from four countries; Pakistan, Kenya, Ghana and India, in order to conclude on household strategies when responding to the educational quality provided by public, private or public-private partnership schools.
