Using business skills to expand access to Sexual and Reproductive Health services and commodities through the private sector. Creating brands of contraceptives and other health products to advertise and sell like consumer goods, but at a subsidized and highly affordable cost, calculated at 0.25% of GDP PPP. Responsible for registering, importing, warehousing, distributing and marketing products in Mozambique. Oversaw a portfolio of 25 products. 40-50% of total budget is sales revenue and the remainder from generous donor funding. Worked closely with partners such as UNFPA, Sida, Erik E. & Edith H. Bergstrom Foundation, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Embassy of Japan. Additionally ran free outreach program of 16 mobile clinics in 10/11 provinces, which travelled last mile to the most remote and vulnerable communities to deliver free contraceptive services. Key achievements during my tenure include:- Sales revenue growth: year 1, +30% growth; year 2: +44% sales growth; year 3 projected to be +21% sales revenue growth. - CYP growth (couple year protection: preventing 1 couple from pregnancy for 1 year): year 1, +31% CYP growth; year 2, +30% CYP growth, year 3, projected at +5% CYP growth. - Registered, imported and market launched 7 new products in country: Fiesta condoms Mint; Fiesta condoms Grape, Fiesta condoms Banana; Misoprostol "Miso Intimo"; EC "Plan Intimo". - Introduced and launched one new brand in country: Fiesta condoms- Registered 5 new products in the country, market launch expected soon: IUD; mife+miso combipack; Injectable, OCP Microlenyn, OCP Progestyn. - Opened 2 new private sector abortion clinics in Pemba, Cabo Delgado province and Maxixe, Inhambane Province- Ran 4 national advertising campaigns on National Television, Radio, Billboards and Point of Sale material- Led a team of over 200 professionals in all provinces and oversaw 7 offices

Responsible for heading the Global Public Health Sector subsidiary of Veru; the Female Health Company, developing female condom markets on the continents of Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America in the public and private health sector. I acted as the main liaison for all female condom stakeholders in the respective countries such as Ministries of Health, large International Donors such as UNFPA, USAID, DFID as well as (commercial) distributors. I researched and developed new relationships and research markets. Planned and implemented both local and national female condom supply chain initiatives and education and advocacy programs. Managed the division of a team of training managers, business development managers, technical staff and project managers in order to develop markets and implement national training programs. End responsible for market development in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and Latin America. Also responsible for tender business, won largest Female Condom tender in the companie's history at 90 million units over 3 years. I also represented FHC in the steering committee of Sharenet International as vice chair, the IAS-ILF, the ABCD steering committee (African beyond condom donation 20by20 condom coalition) and the reproductive health supplies coalition. I was the main liaison for coalitions between FHC and public sector partners forming public private partnerships, and also have extensive experience in collaborations with and proposal writing for several donors such as USAID, the EU, GIZ, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Netherlands. Have acted as speaker in several conferences and summits such as UAFCs Female Condom conference, RHSC annual meeting, and the Multi Parti Initiative on SRHR for Dutch Parliament. Share-Net International’s focus is on strengthening the role knowledge can play in developing evidence-based policies and practices and ensuring that resources are used strategically and to maximum effect. The platform aims at stimulating and sharing existing knowledge among platform participants, the generation of new knowledge to address prioritized research gaps, and the translation of knowledge into formats appropriate for intended audiences, so as to contribute to the application of knowledge. A Steering Committee is in charge of providing substantive direction to Share-Net International and its Secretariat. In addition, the Platform encompasses national knowledge networks in three countries: Bangladesh, Burundi, Jordan. These networks serve as conduits for situation assessments, defining research priorities, facilitating research participation by country institutions and hosting the local knowledge base/platform.

Global Books Foundation is a Dutch based foundation focused on preserving cultural heritage and creating intercultural awareness, understanding and exchange by gathering orally distributed folk tales from countries, regions and cultures from all over the world and publishing them in a children’s book line. Health [e] Foundation is an NGO focused on training and education to empower health care workers and teachers in developing countries through a blended learning program: face to face workshops combined with an e-learning course. My project management activities mainly focused on the countries of Indonesia, Rwanda, Cambodia and South Africa for several health courses such as HIV[e]ducation and Community[e]Education (SRHR), working with different stakeholders such as ministries of Health, NGOs and global donors. Member of a research team composed by Dr. Shailaja Fennell, University Lecturer of Development Studies, Cambridge. The assignment focused on the responses of households towards the quality of education of public-private educational partnerships. My task focused on coding and concluding on the raw field date which had already been gathered in the rural site of Ndeiya, Kenya. The method of coding was based on the model provided by Hirschman (1970) whereby individuals respond to resources that are offered to them in three different manners; through “exit”, “voice” or “loyalty”. Having adapted this model to the conducted research the aim was to draw a comparison between the obtained data from four countries; Pakistan, Kenya, Ghana and India, in order to conclude on household strategies when responding to the educational quality provided by public, private or public-private partnership schools.

Member of a research and advisory team created by Sir Paul Judge, by direct request from the president of Togo, with the aim to create a national development plan for the country of Togo. As the team leader of one of the nine sectors my task within the project focused on researching the sector of education within Togo and to determine where Togo is now in regards to educational provision, where it would like to be and to advise on how to get there. The report was personally presented by myself to the President of Togo, Faure Gnassingbe, during the week of July 14th-July 21st in Lome, Togo.

The job of the student representative required acting as the main liaison between the students of the master program and the professors and department. One official meeting per term was attended in order to discuss the major concerns in regards to the study design, as well as year-round participation in communication between the students and the department.
