About Denise Short

During my career I have spent 19 years with a large computer company, being part of their graduate scheme and qualifying with CIMA (1996). This provided a broad breath of accounting experience in small autonomous units and being the finance lead of the sub-divisions, or large projects, as well as corporate and divisional FP&A roles.More recently I have spent time widening my industry knowledge across various small and large companies. With this extra knowledge I am now looking for a permanent role, to gain the reward of a deeper understanding of a business that leads to the added value for both the company and I.I have a lot of experience in FP&A, consolidation, reporting, simplifying and automating where ever possible. I work well being part of, or leading, a team but am highly motivated when working on my own. I particularly enjoy working with non-finance people, helping them understand the implications of their decisions on the financial performance of the company and producing real business benefits.
