As a learning assistant for CS30, I am responsible for teaching and helping groups of students during discussion sections, meeting with the content instructor and teaching assistants to discuss course content, and holding weekly office hours. CS30 teaches students how to use computers as tool for problem solving, creativity, and exploration through design and implementation of computer programs. Some key topics are data types including integers, strings, and lists; control structures, including conditionals and loops; and functional decomposition.
