Logistics Manager
CurrentEnsure district has adequate supplies/equipment meeting daily emergency mission and/or major incidents/ disasters; Plan/direct/monitor day-to-day operations; Organize/assign workload(s); Customer service; Coordination/cooperation with other divisions; Develop Logistics expectations/goals; Ensure personnel issues handled in timely, professional manner; Develop clear expectations/provide timely feedback for staff; Mentor/guide staff to ensure successful planning; Provide logistical support for emergencies within Incident Command System; Ensure Logistics managed with effective practices, accurate asset management, tracking, service requests, internal business rules, documentation; Develop solutions in strict fiscal environment; Logistics budget development in compliance with guidelines/managed effectively within allocated funds; Assist CFO and Finance Manager with placement of financial controls/purchases in policy compliance; Fulfillment of requests for materials/supplies, including fire-fighting chemical agents and controlled-substance medical aid(s); Oversee interdepartmental mail/supply system; Maintain inventory/control of supplies/materials at multiple locations, cycle counts/annual inventory; Develop, manage, modify replacement plan for major assets; Coordinate cost-effective methods to purchase quality supplies/equipment; Vendor meet-ups for new products/offerings; Oversee purchase, replacement, repair, programming, tracking of comms devices; Oversee materials management; Seek creative solutions for improving procedures/cost controls by researching efficient purchasing, warehousing, distribution methods; Work major emergencies, disasters, emergency exercises; Serve on internal/external technical advisory committees/work groups; Public sector procurement/contracting, co-op purchasing agreements through governmental sources; Design/maintenance of inventory control systems/asset management plans; Priority setting/problem solving/conflict management.
