I am a proven leader with a passion for driving social change by thoughtfully creating programs to deliver bold impact. I have an extensive background working for both corporate and non-profit organizations, large and small, paid and non-paid. As a result, I am seen as a trusted advisor by my peers, clients, and managers known for bringing a disciplined business perspective to philanthropic operations, creating balance between the organizational mission and efficiency objectives through leveling up programs, maximizing revenue streams, and optimizing resource utilization.My Background:I believe everyone can play a part in leading social change whether that be with small acts of kindness, volunteering, donating and/or aligning the goals of businesses to better address society's biggest challenges. When I left corporate marketing in 2001 to start a family, I quickly discovered that my leadership, organizational and communications skills were highly sought after by philanthropic organizations. What started as a way to give back, fueled my passion for a career in non-profit, where my work was creating significant impact in the lives of everyday people. As someone who has an innate ability to generate exceptional results from teams through coaching, mentoring, and direct and transparent communications, I returned to work at Special Olympics where I developed strong skills in resource development and project management. My work as Director of Development focusing on corporate partners reinforced my belief that the greatest value is created when strategies and missions align, and technology is leveraged to amplify impact. As a result, I am excited to pursue work where I can leverage my skills to develop trusted partnerships and foster a culture of collaboration and value for bold impact. Bringing together people with different perspectives and building community drives my life outside of work as well. I am an avid hiker who started a Mom’s hiking collective 10 years ago, which is equal parts women’s support group, ecotherapy and physical activity. I also work closely with high school students in the community and am inspired by the passion today’s youth has for solving social challenges both locally and globally.
