Denise Guerra is a multi-platform award-winning journalist. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies at UCLA and a Master of Arts at the University of Southern California. She spent a decade working at National Public Radio covering national and world politics, science, economics and culture. She helped launch the weekend iteration of the Up First podcast, and the flagship daily news podcast for the Los Angeles Times. In 2023, that podcast was included in the Los Angeles Times' Pulitzer Prize winning package of leaked racist remarks made by members of the L.A. City Council.
