I’m Denise Levy, and I’m all about helping clients break free from the barriers holding them back! Picture this: a social worker gone rogue, armed with a treasure trove of expertise in mental health, life coaching, and relationship dynamics.I love everything I do so here goes…My journey started at the University of West Florida, where I earned my BSW. But it was my personal battles, particularly with Rheumatoid Arthritis since childhood, that truly shaped my path. Living with chronic pain taught me invaluable lessons in resilience and self-care, paving the way for my passion to empower others facing similar struggles.I carved my own path and was self-employed as a successful high-end boutique Professional MatchMaker for 25 years and retired to go back to my roots in social work. This is where I made the conscious choice to only do what brings me joy in my work, and that is helping others. At this point, I had already been life coaching for years but that wasn’t enough. I wanted to be able to also give back to my community.In the realm of social work, I proudly served for the past five years as the Executive Director and Educational Program Coordinator for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) in Okaloosa & Walton Counties, after serving on the Board of Directors for 2 years. Advocating for mental wellness is at the core of everything I do, from facilitating support groups to training others in mental wellness to guided meditation groups.As a Certified Mental Health Professional and Life Coach, I blend mindfulness, positive psychology, and cognitive behavioral techniques to guide clients toward mental wellness. I’ve walked the walk, so I know what it takes to prioritize self-care even in the face of adversity.But that’s not all—I’m also trained in Gottman’s renowned Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work program. Whether it’s conflict resolution or fostering deeper connections, I enjoy seeing couples thrive.And let’s not forget my passion for mindfulness and meditation! I’ve been leading a weekly group at a local inpatient mental health and substance use disorder facility, guiding patients toward self-compassion, emotional regulation, and inner peace for several years now. This is my absolute favorite day of the week!I also facilitate Mindfulness & Meditation for Mental Wellness & Inner Peace twice a month on Zoom for NAMI Emerald Coast.My personal self-care routine includes mindfulness, meditation, movement, nature, and nourishment! I don’t open the laptop, or take calls or texts before noon.
