When asked what I do, I generally respond with, "A little bit of everything!"Since third grade, writing has been a love and passion of mine. I ultimately ended up majoring in Journalism, spent a year and a half at a small town newspaper, and I currently blog at Mattox-Live and am a contributor to Road Widows.However, photography has become my passion over the last few years, and I do believe it has edged out writing ever so slightly as my biggest passion. In photography that I've discovered a freedom, an outlet and a lot of love. I absolutely love capturing a moment in time, and I have a special love for "still life" photography, couples and families, and live music photography.I spent the last five years bartending a few nights a week. Bartending afforded me the discovery of an interest in "mixology," both in the alcoholic sense of the word as well as the social sense. It's made me far more extroverted than I ever could have imagined being, and I am pursuing what it takes to continue on this path in the years to come.I have experience in an office setting as well, as I am the daughter of small business owners (specifically income tax preparers), and I am active with their business to this day. The experience I've gained in their office has given me a business sense that I am eternally grateful to have.Texas A&M University and being an Aggie are just as much a part of me as breathing. I am President of the local Middle Tennessee Texas A&M Club as well as the Texas A&M representative to the Nashville ACC-SEC-B1G Leadership Council.
