In June of 2019 I completed my Masters of Arts and Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Fitness Science and Nutrition. I am also a certified Health, Wellness & Creative Life Coach, Nutritionist, Herbalist and Certified Master Teaching Artist on Arts Integration and Education in the classroom and workplace. I am also an Author of three books, professional Instructor in Theatre/Film Acting, Personal/Professional Development Techniques, professional Choreographer, Motivational Speaker, Entrepreneur and Community Activist. Looking back it is very humbling to have been crowned the 1st Miss Black Alabama U. S. A. '87; The first college student producer and host of a prime-time fitness morning television show in Nashville, Tennessee. A former lead Soul Train dancer; as well as, professional actress on popular classic televison shows and films such as; Heat of the Night, Rocky IV and numerous TV/Radio commercials; in addition to print and runway modeling with various agencies in the Los Angeles and Atlanta markets.I strongly believe that health and wellness go hand in hand with artistic self-expression. I especially love working with our youth, because I believe they are a generation who will positively change our world once they have learned to tap into their creative energy. Once they fully understand the connection between proper nutrition and creativity...the world will see greater creations (medically, architecturally, politically, educationally, artistically, etc.) beyond our wildest imagination. I guess you can label me as an advocate for the arts and a motivator to empower people by connecting with that source that resides within them that can drive each and everyone of us to greater heights of health, happiness and prosperity. We work collaboratively with our Public & Private Educational School Systems, World Leaders, Churches, Corporate and Small Businesses, Arts Organizations; as well as, Local Communities throughout the World to help ensure all people, especially our youth have the opportunity to be exposed and explore their creative abilities through the arts.In working with the schools, we specialize in integrating the arts with core curriculum subject areas of Math, Science, English and Social Studies to help our students increase their interest in learning, cognitive processing and life-long retention of information, as well as; appreciation and understanding of the arts.Southeast Artist Collaboration, Inc. is unique in that 90% of our programs involve mobile instruction in which we go directly to the schools, churches, businesses or within a community, the other 10% is conducted via online web classes. We understand today's economy and the limitations of a parents schedules, which is why a majority of our programs are offered within the communities in which we come directly to you. Our staff consists of over 175 employees and volunteers throughout the southeast region. There is usually no charge to the student for our community workshops, however; if there is a fee, it is a nominal charge to cover basic operational expenses.
