I was teaching courses at mastermind.com, an online self-education source offering every kind of instruction possible ranging from free to multiple pricing. My first course is a pre-recorded yoga package. I'll also be presenting instruction on a number of topics. Additionally, I'm offering a series of yoga 2021 summer workshop classes at Colyer Lake in Pennsylvania, and preparing retreats in Florida and Mallorca for 2021-22 or whenever when current restrictions are lifted..Before this shift, prior to Covid restrictions I was traveling & teaching yoga primarily on the east coast, instructing classes in NYC and DC at YogaWorks & Central PA at Videon Inc. I also did corporate and private packages for clients like State Farm Insurance. At least once a month I was in New York teaching, subbing or leading a workshop at YogaWorks NYC, or working on video projects. I traveled to Washington, DC to advocate for Arts in Education on Capitol Hill. More recently I've been invited to lecture and speak at venues like the University Club. I also present arts events nationally and lead international yoga retreats. I usually lead an annual retreat abroad with the last three being in Mexico, Greece and Spain.

Teaching yoga classes and conducting workshops at 6 different YogaWorks locations throughout New York City and Westchester County, and 2 locations in Washington, DC. YogaWorks is recognized as one of the United States premiere studios with locations in LA, NYC and throughout the country. An ex-professional dancer, in addition, I created and ran an organization called New Moves, Inc. while doing a number of workshops on the east coast, along with yoga instructional videos and leading international retreats.

Capitol Hill

I have been a member of this organization since 1996 by way of The Creative Coalition, where I also was an advocate from 1995 to 2004, and I continued to travel to Capitol Hill to advocate for arts in education, especially dance.

New Moves, Inc is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization providing free site-specific movement, dance and yoga community outreach programs & workshops in New York City and throughout the States, and on occasion in orphanages or schools around the world.

My current interest is in yoga as preventive healthcare. See YouTube: "Preventive Healthcare & Yoga with Denise" and "Breath & Yoga with Denise" among a list of yoga videos. I am also against NY State trying to regulate yoga teachers and requiring us to seek state licensing.

Explored options in New York City including working in a Revlon Commercial, choreography for The Learning Channel, stage combat, dancing at various venues and working at Profile health club. Still do some modeling on and off.

Danced professionally on and off with Excursions Company and different ensembles for a while, primarily in Modern Dance, Ballet and Jazz Dance Styles; then did more solo works when I went to New York. Among my credits were opening for Sarah Vaughn at the Capitol City Jazz Festival and performances at the Kennedy Center.

Taught middle and upper school dance classes in Washington, DC; also created and directed the Sidwell Friends Dance Ensemble. In addition, I taught at other schools and studios in the area as well.
