As Director of Community Investments, I manage the agency’s grant making program. In this role, I steward approximately $16 million annually in municipal funding to invest in San Francisco’s individual artists and arts nonprofits with a focus on racial and cultural equity. I manage the ten-member Community Investments team as they manage the distribution of funding for five (5), distinct grant categories, the City’s Art Vendor program, and seven (7) city-sponsored cultural centers.

Dance/USA is a membership organization that sustains and advances professional dance by addressing the needs, concerns, and interests of artists, administrators and organizations. By providing services and national leadership, Dance/USA enhances the infrastructure for dance creation, education and dissemination.

Managed the City of Oakland's Cultural Funding Program (CFP), a program that distributes approximately $1 million dollars in grant funds to individual artists and nonprofit organizations. I assist the Cultural Affairs Manager as he directs the policies, programs, and services that preserve and strengthen Oakland's diverse cultural community. My main duties involved managing the CFP by coordinatiing the grant application review and preparation, panel recruitment, coordination of panel meetings and applicant review schedules; teaching workshops for applicants and grantees that are Informational sessions and contracting workshops. Also, I worked with the Funding Advisory Committee; write and present reports to City Council and Committees, and represent the Cultural Funding Program to the arts community and general public.

Responsible for management of operations for CCA's Center for Art & Public Life. Supervised 2-4 employees, accounts payable/receivables, budget creation, grant management, coordination of staff meetings and activities.

Responsible for recruitment and outreach to dance artists in the SF Bay Area who perform culturally specific work. Coordinated audition panelists, interviewed selected festival participants, recruited artists for performances and workshops, and assisted with grant writing.
