I am a seasoned, awarding-winning editor and designer who thrives in a breaking news environment. I started my journey in the newspaper industry as a news clerk and over the years have moved from reporter to copy editor and page designer to wire editor to newsroom leader. And although newsprint runs through my veins, I also have dabbled in the digital space, working as an editor for Patch, MedCity News and Yahoo!My varied experience has helped me develop an eye for detail and an ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. I cut my teeth in leadership as assistant Business Monday Editor for the Miami Herald, which led to roles such as Page One editor at the Plain Dealer in Cleveland, city desk editor for the Ashland Times Gazette and senior managing editor of production for The Villages Daily Sun.Now, as staff development editor at the Daily Sun, I am focused on creating a nurturing environment in which staff members can thrive and grow.
