The Cochrane Planetary Health Thematic Group will provide a platform for methods development, priority-setting, author support, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge translation in planetary health.
Convenor, Cochrane Climate-Health Working Group
In this volunteer role, I lead an informal international working group within Cochrane of people who are concerned about the climate crisis and committed to applying the tools of evidence synthesis and knowledge translation to supporting decision-makers. Our group's members come from many backgrounds and many parts of the world, and we welcome new people. We currently have ~170 people from over 25 countries on our mailing list. The Learning Health System team is dedicated to supporting the Alberta learning health system by bridging the gap between research evidence and health practice through effective, evidence-based knowledge translation and implementation. The team’s structure facilitates close linkages with the provincial health system, particularly the AHS Strategic Clinical Networks, as well as with other relevant groups and organizations. We offer consultation, support and training in knowledge translation and implementation science, working with faculty, graduate students and other researchers across Alberta who require assistance with their patient-oriented research projects.
