This was an on-site role on Santa Isabel Island, Solomon Islands with time spent in both Brisbane and Honiara offices. This was a short term contract to fill in for the Infrastructure Engineer that was away on leave. The responsibilities of the Acting Infrastructure Engineer/Superintendent’s Representative role included the following: • day to day management of internal resources, contractors and suppliers• weekly and monthly reporting to department managers • project scope, variation, budget and contract management• compilation and execution of tender documents• supervision of construction works on site• inspect and review current status of construction works on site vs. schedules• review and approve applications made to CouncilKey Projects:• Lannercost Extension Road bridge replacement• Yanks Pontoon Refurbishment

Primary role was the Construction Quality Advisor/Auditor for the TNRP Regional Program Office – Darling Downs and Metropolitan. This role included undertaking:• desktop reviews of Contractor Quality Management Plans, including construction procedures and Inspection & Test Plans• quality audits and inspections of Contractors’ performance against their quality management systems and for compliance against the Transport & Main Roads (TMR) Main Roads Technical Specifications (MRTS) standards and specifications• provide advice and guidance to Contractors for improvement of existing construction quality systems and processesThe Project Engineer role was again dependent on the project requirements at the time and typically include:• day to day management of contractors and suppliers• supervision of construction works on site• assistance with commissioning processes and meeting practical completion requirements• review of contractual obligations and contract close out processes• inspection and review of current status of construction works on site• compilation of Works to Complete work packs including options analysis for remaining worksKey Projects:• Transport Network Reconstruction Program • NSS Bulk Storage Facility
