My remit includes collaborating with technicians to identify and define solutions to optimise projects and producing requisite drawings to a high standard. I consult with stakeholders to determine project requirements and ensure solutions adhere to British standards, Eurocodes and other regulations considered a benchmark for best industry practice. Some of the major projects I have worked on include: ⁻ The Ram Brewery Quarter and South Footbridge Development, Wandsworth, London: I served as a design engineer on this complex project, prepared the document control sheet, designed the bank seats, surrounding amenities and one of three bespoke steel arch pedestrian bridges connecting the sites⁻ The River Leen (Structure Number RAC-16) Bridge Project, Nottinghamshire: This project required exhaustive consultations with Network Rail and the contractor due to its complexity. It necessitated a square-shaped bridge fitting over a curved section of the rail track, with the rail baseplate positioning requiring a 3mm accuracy tolerance to comply with specifications. I convinced Network Rail engineers to accept a standard deviation (derogation from standards) to overcome this hurdle. The project was completed within its tight schedule to the satisfaction of Network Rail⁻ The Mill Road Bridge Cambridge, Tender Bid: The Spencer Group, one of the UK’s largest engineering companies approached HBPW to bid for an upcoming bridge reconstruction project. With a limited time-frame, I worked fervently to complete required drawings. The bid was successful with HBPW proceeding onto the full design phase
