The RER ligne A, opereted by RATP, is the busiest line in Europe. RATP has to renew 23.7 km of ballasted track & 27 turnouts between Nanterre & Vincennes stations. RER line A began to be operated in the concerned set between 1969 & 1977. In 2017, all trains run with a double deck EMU. The first part of this project consists to stop the service for one month on August for 4 years.Obviously, ballasted track renewal is an usual operation for the major specialized contractors. But, in this case, make a track renewal in a tunnel under Paris with an high yield production and considering there are still passenger trains going to the east & west bound in both tunnel work extremities is a challenge. That is the frame of this project. I was part of the product managers executive team. Adjoint to the product managers executive and his team in plenty of fields: coordinate product managers (track, signalling, speed control, catenary, etc), relationship with the working company, and internal/external actors.
