Lead research projects with a mission to connect and innovate for better health. Denisha's roles included: Led the Brain Safety Lab, (P30) 4 million grant from Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) to facilitate innovative research studies that consisted of testing ideas to improve health care.Creative solutions on melding the world of discovery with everyday clinical care. Serving as a primary source of information regarding project status and effectively communicates with project personnel, clients, investigators, funding agencies, and research regulatory agencies.Facilitated recruitment and study intervention under the umbrella of the ADMIT Study, researching Alzheimer disease and the difficulty in slowing functional decline. Along with the Brain Safety Lab, which included two projects: 1) Safe and Effective De-prescribing of Anticholinergics; and 2) Preventing Hypoglycemia Among Older Adults Treated for Diabetes.Preparing and managing human subjects documents, obtaining, managing, and protecting data, hiring and training research staff, preparing progress reports, coordinating tasks among personnel, assisting with budgets, managing timelines and deliverables, and facilitating communication among staff, investigators, and the clinical enterprise. Oversees auditing of study documents and data to ensure quality and compliance. Supervises assigned research assistants, Occupational Therapist, and additional staff members, including contributing to hiring process, training, motivating to achieve required results, conducting performance evaluation and supporting ongoing growth and development and/or disciplinary action as required, while maintaining compliance with Institute policies.
