The business model based on sales performances of the e-commerce websites was not (and is still not) compatible with web agency model, based on timesheets.However, we did some awesome e-commerce projects with many retailers like Descamps, Petit Bateau, Eden Park, Lafuma, Baccarat, Lancôme. Digitas has been my first experience of entrepreneurship with the founding of BI-Commerce, as an internal startup. BI-Commerce was the 1rst platform to deliver a set of e-commerce services including website, catalog management, content management, e-merchandising, shipping and fulfillment, marketing levers, e-crm, customer care. All this only based on performances and results!Digitas was a rich learning experience on commercial aspects, company management, and profitability.
