I grew up in a small town called Calexico, California - thanks to my mom making me review grammar books in the summer growing up, I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish oral & written. I moved at 18 when I embarked on my college journey. I went to the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Only 2 hours away, but a whole world of difference. Graduated in 2011 w/ a B.A. International Studies Political Science In 2009 - I interned at a non-profit called Institute of the Americas (IOA) (fun: fact - I interned there because public transportation was not great back then and I didn't have a car so I needed an internship that was accessible and this was inside the campus so it worked out!) This internship eventually became my first full time job in 2012 - but even before that in 2010 (at 21 years old) - I pitched the idea of a science camp to my then supervisor and President of the company... and they believed in me. In 2010 we hosted the first Science & Innovation Summer camp for Latin American students. I just recently learned that the Science Camp is now in it's 13th year and it has a new home at UC San Diego Extension’s Division of Extended Studies (DES) where they will continue to pursue the vision I had all those years ago. I will always be thankful for Amb. Davidow, Lee & Lynne for listening to young me and let me go through with it. In 2015 I left the IOA to pursue an MBA at Cal State San Marcos - graduated in 2016 with a specialization in Business Intelligence. Since 2017 I have worked at PC Synergy as Director of Marketing, then returned to Cal State San Marcos for almost 3 years where I led the recruitment (among a lot of other things) of both their MBA programs (Specialized & Fully Employed). I still and will forever advocate for these programs at CSUSM - (if you have any questions feel free to DM me). In 2019, I returned to the private sector at PC Synergy as an Enterprise Account Manager. I am currently VP of Enterprise Account Management & also Product Owner for our PostalMate Flex product. Long story short - you can see it with the science camps, the MBA programs and now our software. I love innovating, managing and selling. I love to take a concept, manage how it is that it will come to life and work with a team to put it out there and see how it changes peoples lives.
