Head of IT Security for Capital Finance, a 1,200 employee Lloyds Banking Group brand acquired by Westpac in January 2014 for $6.2bn. This included Lending, Commercial Finance, Treasury and Trading. Starting with a CISSP certification, I built Information Security from a nascent infrastructure function to a leading-edge risk management practice covering banking and lending operations in compliance with COBIT, APRA, UK FSA and US SOX requirements.

Managed whole-of-bank front, middle & back office application support across banking and lending in an ITIL environment. The portfolio included 160+ applications ranging from 2 core banking systems (Quantum & FIS) to credit risk (SAS & Decision Point), GLs (Oracle), payments and compliance (SWIFT, Complinet, Fircosoft) as well as reporting (SSIS/SSRS & Business Objects). I managed 20 staff and a number of vendors in 4 teams:- Asset Finance (motor & marine retail & business lending).- Corporate & Specialised Finance (large corporate & infrastructure lending).- Trade Floor (Bloomberg, Reuters, UBS FX, BARX, DB Autobahn, PrimeTrade, Goldman 360 etc.).- Treasury banking middle & back office.

Contributed to the BankWest demerger back office IT re-implementation (Project Catalyst) including:- Asset Finance GL (Oracle r12)- Consolidated Financial Reporting (SSIS/SSRS)- BASEL Credit Risk / Credit Scoring (SAS 9.2 / CSfB)

Designed, implemented and managed banking back office platforms covering 7 APAC countries. Started an APAC software development team from initial UK handover and grew it to 8 engineers in Sydney, Tokyo, Manila and Delhi to design, develop and support a portfolio of 12 applications with up to 17,000 users on 3 web farms and database clusters.

Designed, sold and managed delivery of SaaS insurance applications including employee self-service, benefit enrollment and life & disability insurance benefit management.
