The Iomega Usability Group now works directly with project teams identifying and finding solutions to usability problems. Designed and built a sophisticated, five-room usability lab facility. Managed an approximate $750,000 annual budget. Supervised on average over 50 usability projects per year, or over 100 rounds of usability tests/evaluations/research projects, etc.Drove usability testing and user-centered design processes into Iomega's Product Life Cycle (PLC). Introduced new methods to expand the Usability Group's offerings: Contextual Inquiry, User/Task Analysis, Early Prototype testing, Heuristic Evaluations, Point-of-Sale box testing. Managed and scheduled over 20 usability projects at a time. Specific projects included Iomega's first CDRW drive, the first generation Clik! drives, and the redesigned Zip 250 drive. Contributed to Six Sigma projects.
