Showcase Director for various city markets (Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Chicago, New Orleans, San Antonio, Milwaukee, Baltimore, Boston, New York, Portland, Philadelphia, and more)· Production – Responsible for the start to finish planning and execution of a local arts showcase in each city on alternating months. Management and constant communication between talent, venue, and staffing while upholding the RAW mission statement of existing as an accessible platform for emerging artists and the place for local artists to be discovered.· Curating – Conduct in-depth interviews and hand select artists across all genres for a cohesive debut. Essentially act as tastemaker for the city per season in the categories of art, fashion, and music. Be on constant lookout for trends in contemporary art and public consumption.· Artist Relations – Ensure that each artist’s vision is fully realized, involving discussions with 40-50 artists for every month’s showcase. Extensive collaboration on the aesthetic of the gallery and runway presentations.· Operations – Keep a close eye on budgets in each city. Handle all in-city staffing, including production assistants, interns, photographer and videographer, DJ and host, and all needed labor for the day of the event.· Social Media & Press -- Send out press releases to galleries, blogs, and scouts as invitations to the event on behalf of artists. Maintain the cohesive aesthetic of each city’s facebook, instagram, and other social media platforms. Pursue press coverage leading up to and on the day of the event. Show less
