Deniz has over 19 years experience in Financial services. Prior to joining HSBC in May 2019, Deniz worked for Accenture and RBS, gaining experience from a range of front office customer facing roles and Business Transformation and Simplification programmes. Deniz has spent over 15 years in Project Lead and Process Optimisation roles, working on projects to eliminate waste and increase process efficiencies; drive improvements in business performance, improve the customer and colleague experience. Deniz has gained experience in many sectors of Financial Services, including Retail Banking, Private Banking, Wealth and Complaints, Mortgage and Back Office Operations. In the last 5 years, Deniz has led Process Design teams to design simplified and streamlined processes, end to end across all Trade products and complex business processes. Deniz is accredited in Lean by Cardiff University, is Green Belt certified in Lean Six Sigma, Black Belt trained and an experienced, certified Scrum Master, Product Owner. Deniz utilises a range of Lean methodologies, Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Agile, Project Management and Change Management tools / techniques to embed and drive a continuous improvement culture in the organisation. Deniz has worked on Simplification, Regulatory and Cost Reduction programmes, e2e transformations: mapping customer journeys, redesigning processes, removing inefficiencies to drive process improvements, design target operating models, redesign performance management, implement standardisation and continuous improvement to drive change.Currently Deniz is working within Risk & Compliance, in the COO Chief of Staff Office team, supporting the function to deliver People & Culture initiatives, in addition to leading process simplification activities within the Global COO department, and up-skilling the function with Lean, Six Sigma and Design Thinking skills. Deniz is experienced in identifying training requirements for the business, and often mobilises training as well as coaching programmes to equip colleagues with process simplification and design skills. Creating a community of practitioners to solve simple to complex business problems, embedding a mindset and culture of continuous improvement.
