    Two monomers bearing benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole as acceptor unit and fluorene derivatives as donor unit were synthesized by Suzuki Coupling reaction. 4,7-di(9H-fluoren-2-yl)benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole (FlBzTFl) and 4-(9,9-dioctyl-9H-fluoren-2-yl)-7-(9,9-dioctyl-9H-fluoren-3yl)benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole (Fl8BzTFl8) were characterized by spectroscopic techniques including nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy, and fluorescence spectrometry. Electrochemical properties of monomers were investigated by recording their cyclic voltammograms in dichloromethane-tetrabutyl hexafluorophosphate solvent-electrolyte couple. Electrochemical polymerizations of both monomers were also investigated using electroanalytical techniques. However, due to unsuccessful results obtained during electropolymerization of monomers synthesized in this work, Fl8BzTFl8 was electrocopolymerized with commercial 3,4-Ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) monomer. Electrochemical properties of the copolymer film obtained by repetitive cycling was investigated by recording their cyclic voltammograms in dichloromethane - acetonitrile/ tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate, solvent/ electrolyte system.
