Arizona's state universities are under the jurisdiction and control of the Arizona Board of Regents. The authority of the Board of Regents includes Arizona State University, The University of Arizona, and Northern Arizona University with a combined enrollment of over 212,000 students, 36,000 employees and annual operating budgets of $6.1 billion. Coordinate, facilitate, and provide leadership for staffing of projects to develop and implement Board policy and initiatives. Work closely with the Presidents, Provosts, Vice Presidents and their staff at the universities to provide leadership for the necessary review of agenda items, research, policies, and follow-up.

Fort Collins, Colorado

Colorado State University is the Land Grant University for the State of Colorado serving over 30,000 students. Provided leadership for a comprehensive student services program consisting of approximately 30 Departments, 150 professional staff, and a support staff of over 420. Departments in the Division include: Academic Advancement Programs, Admissions, Services for Asian/Pacific American Students, Black Student Services, Career Center, Accounts Receivable (Student Accounts and Student Loans), Conference Services, Service Learning and Volunteer Programs, Counseling Center, Resources for Disabled Students, International Student Programs, Judicial Affairs, Financial Aid/Student Employment, HELP/Success Center, Hispanic Student Services, Housing and Food Services, Legal Services, Native American Student Services, Ombudsman, Recreational Sports, Registrar, Student Center, University Health Service, Upward Bound/Educational Talent Search, and Women's Programs and Studies.

Fort Collins, Colorado

Served as a faculty member in the School of Education, The College of Applied Human Sciences. Served as major academic advisor for graduate degree candidates. Served on Master's and Doctoral degree committees. Supervised and advised graduate interns, practicum, and independent study students. Teaching and research interests include: Leadership, Change, Human Resource Management, Budgeting, Financial Planning, Organizational Behavior & Development, Educational Reform, Supervision & Training, Personal Growth and Development, Career Planning, and Communication Skills. Nominated by students and alumni numerous times as a “Best Teacher” at Colorado State University and won the award in 1999. Faculty Scholar (Fall 2000). Selected as one of eight faculty scholars to facilitate and implement student-centered, experiential education, and service-learning into first-year, capstone, or graduate level courses. Supported by a three-year grant by the Corporation for National Service. Revised/created a service-learning curriculum plan for implementation at Colorado State University.

Raleigh, North Carolina

Provided leadership for a housing and residence life department involving approximately 7,000 students, 121 full-time staff, and 350 support, graduate, and undergraduate staff. Provided for departmental long range planning, budget management, organizational development, policy and procedure formulation, establishing rates, marketing efforts, program development, and staffing; represented the department in meetings and communication with other university departments and offices; communicated and interpreted departmental policy to student organizations and interest groups external to the university; provided for systematic departmental evaluation and goal setting.

Lawrence, Kansas

Provided leadership for a housing and dining program involving 6,625 students in 9 residence halls, 8 scholarship halls, 900 apartments for single students and 300 family apartments; responsible for staff recruitment, counseling, advising, programming, and judicial affairs; facilitated Educational Policy's Counseling 590 class; administered assignment and contract systems; developed appropriate publicity publications; trained staff in areas relative to personnel procedures, leadership experiences, and student development; administered computer information systems; disseminated information and correspondence to students and parents; advised the All Scholarship Hall Council and the Association of University Residence Halls; coordinated student delegations for National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH) national, regional, and state conferences.
