Dennis Amollo Akeyo is an Epidemiologist and a Researcher at the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC – www.aphrc.org). His work involves management of different research projects and interventions, policy engagement, dissemination of research findings, proposal development and impact evaluation of different research projects and interventions. His research interests span non-communicable diseases and impact evaluation. He has vast experience in research on non-communicable diseases, and also has vast experience in the management of monitoring and impact evaluation projects and management of Demographic Surveillance Systems.Dennis holds a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenya and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and Technology from Egerton University, Kenya. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Epidemiology at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology- ITROMID, Kenya. Dennis can design and independently manage epidemiological and implementation research projects. He possesses strong qualitative and quantitative research and analytical skills and utilizes mixed research methods to implement and evaluate public health interventions. He has authored several scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals and is a co-investigator on several research projects.
