Responsible for physical part quality and adherence to GD & T through all processes including cast, machining, and coating. Creation and upkeep of inspection documents, SWI’s, and Control Plans and subsequent training of personnel. Fast response to quality issues including containment and corrective actions as well as representing the company to Tier 1 and OEM’s. PPAP new processes and use tools such as MSA and SPC to develop and tune measuring systems.

Manage all production personnel and processes including training, scheduling, and KPI’s. Perform elemental time studies and load balancing to maximize throughput on the assembly line. Successfully managed two production departments, seven supervisors and 125 employees in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Coordinated departmental improvements through engineering and maintenance, while working with production control to ensure on time delivery of product to the customer. Regularly conducted labor and expense audits. Maintained internal supplies and minimized expenditures by acting as a buyer/point of contact for outside venders. Created new SOP documents and training programs to enhance the operational capabilities of the departments through the use of Lean principles, while maintaining ISO compliance. Responsible for the creation and management of an automotive assembly department, including plant layout, equipment procurement, staffing, work instructions and training, and day to day production quotas. Conducted time studies to better develop and maintain employee efficiency.

Actively supervised 35 employees in a fast-paced production environment. Handled all employee concerns including performance reviews, safety and Lean Manufacturing training, discipline and hiring. Scheduled the timely flow of product and materials through the department and created schedules for the off shifts. Regularly oversaw the Brushing, Packing, and Shipping departments as a backup, and assisted IT as needed to maintain the plant network and hardware.

Worked with Sales, Engineering, and production to develop new processes and written procedures to more efficiently generate plant throughput. Coordinated product flow with outside venders resulting in cost effective and timely off-site processing of parts. Led a three-man team in the operation of a six hoist, automated anodizing system. Performed appropriate chemistry and chemical additions to maintain process tanks within acceptable ranges. Did applicable quality measurements post-anodize to ensure customer satisfaction and to minimize waste. Also, was responsible for system troubleshooting, accurate data entry and chemical handling operations.
