Repair, rebuild, and remanufacture precision grinding machines and components, and machining centers. Evaluate machines and components and prepare evaluation reports.Disassemble clean and inspect. Create bill of materials and engineering releases.Prepare sketches, instructions, and documentation needed to process outsourced repairs.Perform any needed in house repairs or improvements. Reassembly and test run to assure proper function.Prepare and file all required inspection and qualification documentation.Perform troubleshooting.Machine set up. Final inspection of finished replacement parts to assure quality.Perform calibration of tools and equipment to maintain ISO certification.Support the engineering, proposal, sales, and service departments as needed.

Responsible for the daily operation of the shop floor for a small machine repair and rebuilding facility in Novi, Michigan which specializes in Landis grinding machines and components, reporting directly to the president of the company. This position was both management and hands on covering all aspects from start to finish of projects including quoting projects, disassembly and inspection of machines and components, processing all needed repairs, purchasing needed parts and supplies, reassembly and qualification of products, installation and field service.
