As a Senior Scientist at SiriusXM, I am passionate about designing and developing natural language processing (NLP) solutions that enhance the user experience and engagement with our app. I have over 7 years of experience in machine learning, data science, and software engineering, with a focus on machine learning at scale and knowledge engineering.In my current role, I work with a cross-functional team to perform content extraction on SiriusXM's podcasts in order to identify useful signals within the content. This enables more precise and relevant search and recommendation of podcasts for the users, as well as better content analysis and monetization for the company. I use Python as my main programming language, and leverage various NLP frameworks and tools (e.g. PyTorch, JAX, Huggingface's Transformers library, etc.) to build scalable and robust models and systems. Some of the challenges and achievements that I am proud of include: - Developing a novel topic modeling approach that can handle diverse and dynamic podcast genres and domains- Building a pipeline and infrastructure that can process and segment millions of podcast episodes efficiently and accurately- Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and content creators to integrate the NLP solutions into the SiriusXM platform and app- Evaluating and improving the quality and performance of the NLP solutions using user feedback and metrics
