was the Security Manager and Convoy Commander for the Sheberghan Training site. My responsibilities were, conducting convoys of key personnel to airstrips and military bases throughout the region. I was also responsible for coordinating movements for and the protection of visiting key company personnel. I was present on all security movements in the position of the lead CPO (close protection officer). While employed by this company I also received certification as a trained Sniper. I was also the team leader for both the Law Enforcement and NCO Leadership committees. I was responsible for the training and day to day operations of Afghan leadership candidates and supervised five US instructors.

Mentoring high-ranking Afgan Security Officials as well as providing security for them. From July to November 2008 I was a member of a special operations team that operated with the Marine Special Operations command. This duty consisted of protecting Afghan Government Officials and providing security for them during high profile meetings. I held the positions of driver as well as gunner on these missions and also acted as assistant convoy commander during vehicle operations.I also accomplished these missions by participating in foot patrols and walking many security formations to include two and three man formations, as well as box and line formations. Throughout my three-year contract I periodically worked with Dyncorp security teams to escort and protect visiting US Diplomats throughout Afghanistan. I acted as the driver and gunner on these missions and participated in many convoys as well as utilizing security formations. During this period I received several letters of appreciation for my roles in these operations. I was required to maintain proficiency with the M-4 assault rifle and the M-9 pistol. I also received certification with the m249 Saw and the 240 B Machine gun.
