Duties Include: Member of the US Embassy Emergency Response Team, responsible for the protection of US Diplomats and State Department personnel living on the Embassy compound. In this capacity I also acted as assistant team leader and vehicle commander. Member of movement team Spartan 38, responsible for the movements of US State Department personnel to various locations throughout Iraq.I also was a member of movement advance team Spartan 36, responsible for securing venues and ensuring safe conditions for incoming movement teams.

During this period I received several letters of appreciation for my roles in these operations. I was required to maintain proficiency with the M-4 assault rifle and the M-9 pistol. I also received certification with the m249 Saw and the 240 B Machine gun.
