I have over 20 years of experience in developing business solutions through website and database programming. As head of MicroPower Software, my team developed one of the first database-backed websites on the Internet for Lockheed Martin and NASA. Since then I have helped develop numerous custom and open-source framework Internet sites (e.g.: WordPress, Magento, OpenCart). Extensive experience in project management and programming of large-scale client/server and database-backed web and mobile applications. These applications dealt with a variety of complicated business operations.I am looking for remote full-time, part-time, or contract work as a full-stack web developer. For White Light Concepts (WLC), I work remotely on project work and monitor project development. I choose the projects that I will work directly upon. Having worked for them for 14 years, I now determine my own schedule based upon a project’s needs and its time-schedule. I am presently working on two long-term projects for them neither of which consumes my day. As such I have time to allocate for full-time work apart from WLC. Having been around programmers for the greater part of my life, and being a programmer myself, clock-time is superfluous when there is 24 hours to the day and 7 days to the week and something needs to be accomplished in a timely manner.I work well as a sole programmer or with a team. I highly value the MVC model and compartmentalized code which provides efficient, fast operations on the front-end for the user. It is also very important to me that the goals and objectives of the website are realized through careful design and planning of UI/UX.
