-Implement and operationalize the classification and tiering of vendors by the following risk categories: financial solvency, legal standing, past performance, and overall reputation. -Utilize existing resources such as NASCIO forums, press releases, Yahoo! Finance, Better Business Bureau, and Fitch ratings to gather information in the risk categories to produce proactive weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.-Ensure OIT vendors are held accountable to report annual financial liquidity through the collection of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.-Partner with the OIT Financial Office to develop metrics for measuring vendor financial risk.-Review and understand relevant regulatory and legal compliance requirements.-Manage vendor risks as defined in vendor contracts and in accordance with existing risk management programs and policies.-Develop, monitor and possibly execute vendor remediation actions and mitigation plans when risks or events are identified.-Monitor third party vendor legislative and regulatory compliance.-Investigate and gather vendor data and prepare risk assessments for vendors as needed.-Collaborate as appropriate with information security, compliance and/or disasterrecovery and business continuity management to maintain an enterprise riskmanagement program.-Communicate identified risk requirements and violations to internal stakeholders.-Responsible for the development, documentation, implementation and maintenance of vendor performance management processes, standards, and metrics tracking. -Accountable for effectively building and maintaining internal relationships.-Working with Service Owners to establish SLAs against vendor contracts. -Develop performance management strategies for OIT vendors and the internal contract management lifecycle.
