Managed the Operations and Maintenance Teams for the Los Colinas Automated People Transit (APT) System. Managed the APT Operations within the guidelines set by Dallas County Utility and Reclamation District (DCURD).

As the Campus Director/President, I was the “General Manager” of the campus and was responsible for developing, planning, directing, and controlling broad activities needed to ensure campus success. I set and steered the organizational objectives to ensure financial and academic success through short- and long-range planning and action. I was responsible for creating an environment that engages staff, creates quality education and administrative processes, broad growth, and predictable financial performance. I had the overall responsibility for the operation and activities of the campus as well as campus results. Key Achievements:Increased Earnings Before Interest and Taxes by 18%.Improved Staff/Faculty retention, reducing turnover from 48.93% to 14.82%.

Provided leadership and management for the Academics Department for a campus with six schools of study, offering twelve different undergraduate degrees to more than 1000 students with 126 faculty and staff members. Designed and taught Curriculum in the Network Systems Administration,Data Communications, and Cyber-Security programs – Specializing in Routing and Switching courses using Cisco equipment. Managed the School of Information TechnologySupervised programs and instructional staff (30+ Full Time and Adjunct Faculty Members) within the school of information technology (378 Students) at the Portland Campus. Designed, repaired, and supervised the installation of industrial control systems (Relay logic and PLC/HMI systems) ensuring compliance with USDA, FDA, EPA, and OSHA regulations. Designed and installed Industrial computer networks.Key Achievements:Designed and installed the industrial control system for the automation of an injection molding system that improved production time and reduced scrap from approximately 25% to less than 1%.

Assured optimal function of the plants systems, including corrective and preventative maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems, IT Networks (Cisco and Windows), plumbing, HVAC systems, PLCs, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems, and general cleanliness. Oversaw the (OSHA) safety program ensuring safety and compliance in the workplace.Key Achievements:Designed the preventative maintenance program, including the creation of the software system for managing corrective and preventative maintenance, supplies, vendors, and contractors.Designed and oversaw the creation of the forklift battery changing station reducing downtime by approximately 25% and improving safety.

Extensive military experience in Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plant operations, electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, training and damage control. Experienced/qualified Load Dispatcher, Propulsion/Reactor Electrician, Switchgear Operator, Feed Control Operator, Throttle man, Log Recorder, Radiological Control Point Watch, and Repair Party Electrician.Maintenance Supervisor and Reactor Electrical Training Coordinator (1993-1995)➢ Developed, programmed, and administered the training database for the USS Nimitz, Reactor Department, which was designed to track Reactor Department personnel training, qualifications, and the Reactor Department’s operational readiness goal completion.➢ Supervised and evaluated sixteen electricians; ensuring that all preventative and corrective maintenance was completed on schedule and in a timely manner.➢ Designed course curriculum and provided training to reactor department personnel on subjects including Electricity/Electronics, Electric Plant and Reactor Plant Operations, and electrical maintenance.➢ Maintained the Reactor Training Department's Computer Network and Databases.Load Dispatcher (1992-1995)➢ Supervised electric plant operations and all electrical support equipment used in the distribution of power throughout the ship.➢ Supervised electric plant operators and auxiliary electricians.Electrician (1989-1995)➢ Completed preventative and corrective maintenance as required to ensure the efficient operation of the ships electric plant and reactor plants.
