In 2007 it was time for a new Retail challenge, at a liquor shop in my home town. Originally it was supposed to be 2 month job for the holidays and I ended up staying 7 years. My main job as assistent next to the regular parttime work consisted mainly out of a combination of creating pricing and shelving strategies. Vinoloog and Owner Frans Nijsten is a true expert on everything that is liquid. During my work at Nijsten I managed to learn a great portion of his product knowledge in all the years I worked there. With the addition of Schneider Weisse to my portfolio in Januari, next to my own beers from Oldskool. It became more and more difficult to find the spare time to help out mister Nijsten. Frans Nijsten decided that the time had come to work more for my own company instead of working at his liquor store. He remains selling the Oldskool beers though :). Show less

Starting, as a young employee, at the supermarket I started to grew interest for food and beverages. In my first year I was set responsible for placing orders for 1 day a week. As time went by, I became interested in leading the department. As result I started to work as leading employee of the Dairy/Fresh/Frozen foods department in 2007. I decided to quit on April 2008, so that I could work more for the brewery of Sint Christoffel Bier. Show less
