The Retail Advisor's primary role is to guide and lead, through providing practical decision making advice, to Key Management personnel of the Retail Cooperatives in day to day operation. I acted as a resource to assist both the Management and the Boards of Directors of the Retails assigned to me, in identifying and resolving operational challenges through analysis, past experience and innovation. Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills were required to deal with all retail and wholesale contacts.Key responsibilities included:To identify and assist in the achievement of operational improvement goals and in the development of ongoing performance management.To be responsible to assist and coach the Board of Directors in all areas to improve and maintain good Board Governance.To provide Leadership and advise in all areas of facility construction and management.To be responsible to assist in the facilitation for the development of a proper business planning cycle to include the development and management of the retails' Human Resources to include Learning and Development, Resourcing Plans and Succession Planning.To ensure retails have strong marketing strategies and operations which are focused on retail growth.I was responsible for 22 retails in Manitoba with combined annual sales in excess of $636 million.
