Gain knowledge and understanding of the J & J enterprise data architecture and IT strategic road maps to help shape and accelerate the CLS strategy. Integrate with global CLS project teams across multiple regions to identify and document data needs and to leverage existing CLS BUIT work in progress. Assist in the project to convert over 50 SAP clients into a Single SAP client. Responsible for the MM configuration, Data conversion, testing and training for clients all over the world. Fast paced environment with aggressive deadlines.

Re-hired to lead the global template implementation of key MM functionality on the J&J Global SAP system implementation project called “Back to Basics”. Main focus was in the Master Data conversion and setup in the procurement area. Worked with many key interfaces that fed procurement information into SAP and out to downstream systems using IDOCs and WebMethods. Utilized the SAP MDG system, the SAP ECC system, Solution Manager, HPQC, Aravo, Winshuttle, Documentum Compliance Manager (Doc Space) and Cransoft. Worked with people from Brazil and Mexico for our first 2 implementations, traveling internationally and working with people from different countries. Was a key contributor to the configuration, conversion and setup of procurement master data on these critical projects. Established a baseline and interface structure for future J&J implementations to utilize for the rest of the “Back to Basics” global implementations.

Assist in the conversion to the SAP Retail system. The Children's Place currently has over 1,200 retail stores and over 100,000 SKU's.

Re-hired to lead multiple projects which enhance the functionality of the J&J SAP system. The initial project, called Club Hub, consolidated all club store (Costco, Sams, and BJ’s accounts) distribution to improve service and Supply Chain efficiency. By creating a Club focused distribution center, J&J reduced Inventory, eliminated “out of stock” shipments and redeployments for all club accounts. This project saved J&J over 2.5 million dollars. The second project, Project Knight Rider, enabled the new co-located Trade Customization site at the Indianapolis, IN DC on the Mercury SAP platform, as well as establish connectivity to the third-party (assembly vendor) system. The third project, Project Retrofit, enabled the automated Knight Rider functionality at the co-located Trade Customization DC in Tobyhanna, PA. All projects were completed on time and under budget.

Team Lead and Mentor for the SAP Material Master Optimization project. The project goal is to increase the throughput, accuracy and efficiency of the SAP Material Master (MM) file. Duties are to define, configure, develop and document the best practices for MM creation, maintenance and data cleanup. This project will identify, define and configure the material characteristics, release strategy, and data necessary to maximize the efficiency of the Material Master.

2009: Project Mercury Release 5 SAP implementation - Key resource responsible for the delivery of a Cranberry Web application front end tool to create, extend and change SAP Materials. The Cranberry tool, called cMat, uses existing SAP material master data as a baseline that is modified, validated and posted to SAP using BAPIs and SAP BDC sessions. Chosen specifically to supply SAP expertise to the group implementing this front end tool. 2008: Manage Business Operating Procedure (BOP/SOP) development. Review the SAP ECC configuration, designs and documentation in the Requisition to Pay (RTP) area. Proactively meet with the business team to ensure that all business processes are accounted for. Chosen to re-design, coordinate and roll out the Material Master creation process for raw materials and semi finished goods. Chosen as the RTP support ticket co-ordinator; monitoring and assigning RTP tickets as well as resolving tickets in the Purchasing and Security areas.Notes: J & J uses Evaluated Receipt Settlement (ERS) and 2 way matching; Complex pricing for purchases – “open book” pricing – that means that J & J can view the costed BOM for the products they are purchasing with the manufacturers costs and make adjustments to the raw material prices thus affecting the pricing on the purchased product. They are using ICH – Inventory Collaboration Hub functionality.

Support SAP in a validated pharmaceutical environment. Chosen to work on a European SAP systems consolidation effort in a senior SAP Logistics role. In addition to these roles, is a key member of the testing team for an upgrade from SAP release 4.7 to ECC release 6.0.

MM/PP Consultant

Integrate a new division, Cardinal Glassware, into the existing Mikasa SAP Retail 4.6C system. Responsible for all MM configuration (Inventory Management, Purchasing, Plannning, Subcontracting) and the associated master data (Article Master, Vendor Master, Info Records, Merchandise Categories). Project included the creation of a Business Blueprint as well as Unit Testing, Integration Testing and Training in an SAP Retail system.
