Serving as the Assistant Information System Security Manager (AISSM), as well as a classified information system security analyst and auditor, providing oversight over the collateral security program for a DoD University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) ensuring compliance with DoD 5220.22-M, National Industrial Security Policy Operating Manual (NISPOM). Duties include providing assistance with the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of classified information systems, reviewing System Security Plans (SSPs) for compliance with applicable DoD policy, performing risk analyses and security assessments on diverse classified information system environments, recommending mitigation and remediation for any identified vulnerabilities, developing security policy, procedures and standards for classified program, serving as a technical advisor to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), developing and providing ongoing security awareness training and briefings to a large organization consisting of over 5,000 employees, and serving as a liaison for government customers and cognizant security agency. Other duties included managing compliance, auditing and IS hardening standards of an IS profiles that includes over 3000 pieces of equipment. Serve on the AI team to investigate internal policy and procedure infractions.
