Since May of 2008 I have worked in various positions at The Royal Canadian Yacht Club (RCYC) predominately as a Quartermaster (Concierge)/Security Officer although I have also worked in Reception/Reservations. I have gained extensive knowledge about working in a professional administrative setting as well as member/guest (customer service) with focus on safety, rules and overall satisfaction of members and guests. Additionally through working at The RCYC I have been able to get to know the employees and understand their positions and many of the ways in which the club functions. I wish to obtain a position that will enable me to use my work experience, strong organizational skills, educational background and ability to work well with people in an effort to advance my career and grow; ideally internally. I have excellent computer skills and am competent working with various programs used by the club including Microsoft Office/ Outlook, Excel, Jonas Club Management, Keyscan Aurora. I am efficient at multi-tasking by assessing the importance of tasks and weighing their values, am detail oriented by making sure to identify problems and resolve them accordingly and can perform effectively in fast-paced environments. My work experience has allowed me to strengthen my professional communication etiquette as I engage with members and contact internal departments. With my knowledge gained throughout my educational and professional career I feel confident I am able to take on any and all tasks whilst still continuing to learn and grow.
