Assists the Division Chief in formulating program goals, plans, policies, and procedures and work plans dealing with the develpoment and operation of command-wide C2ISR functions and activities

Ensured combatant commanders received mission-ready personnel and equipment. Oversaw crew readiness and training for Air Operations Centers (AOC), Control & Reporting Centers (CRC), E-3 AWACS, E-4 NAOC, E-8 JSTARS, MC-12, MQ-1 Predator, MQ-9 Reaper, RQ-4 Global Hawk, RC-135 variants Rivet Joint/Cobra Ball/Combat Sent/ Constant Phoenix/ Open Skies, and U-2 Dragon Lady

Led 60 personnel managing, integrating, and synchronizing AF enterprise responsible for CSAF-directed experimentation effort; $34 million multi-major command, multi-service, multi-national effort to define current & future concepts, needs, & capabilities. Ensured emerging capabilities & concepts aligned with AF leadership vision and transitioned them to AF programs of record

Directed team of 14 military and civilians performing the AF lead developing capabilities and requirements for the E-10, the next generation command and control aircraft. AF representative to OSD aircraft and radar integrated product teams. Managed investment of development and operational funds to acquire the E-10, managed AF analytical effort to define force structure and transition of legacy platforms, chaired stakeholders steering groups. AF lead for the $5 billion E-10 research and development effort and the follow-on E-10 acquisition program

Commanded a 400-person squadron that is the AF’s single source of initial air battle manager qualification training. Directed the development and execution of five operations and flying training syllabi while integrating command and control training with F-15 & F-22 fighter training on 5,400 sorties annually. Supported Dept of Defense security assistance by training international officers from 52 nations. Responsible for a military radar unit with $19 million in training resources, four facilities worth $15 million, and a $3 million contract providing 4,300 flying hours annually. Managed an annual operations budget of $712,000. Directly supervised nine field grad officers, seven flight commanders, six shop chiefs, and four senior non-commissioned officers, while maintaining qualification as an instructor air battle manager.

Led the squadron’s cadre of 53 officers, 130 enlisted, and 16 civilians as single source of all undergraduate air battle manager qualification training for USAF combat air forces. Supervised the education of an annual officer and enlisted student population of 400 in 5 different courses, including international officers from 52 nations. Managed a $17 million system modeling airborne warning and control. Managed a $2.4 million Mu-2 flying hour contract executing 4,300 contracted flying hours annually and directed command and control support for over 10,500 F-15 training hours. Maintained qualification as an instructor air battle manager.

Responsible to the Commander, Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) 7 and the Director of Operations for directing the action of NATO air defense operations within NATO’s southern region. Executed functions in day-to-day management of NATO air defense assets and air policing duties in accordance with bi-strategic command rules. Exercised control over assigned NATO air defense assets and tasks in accordance with orders and directives. Advised senior NATO commanders in both CAOC 7 and the southern region area of responsibility. Coordinated air defense operations with adjacent Hellenic national air defense forces, army corps, maritime forces, civil authorities and civil defense.
