Having worked on the highway design portion of a railroad grade crossing elimination project at my previous employer, I was offered a position with the company we had teamed up with who were designing the railway portion on the same project and accepted an invitation to join their firm to help complete the railway design portion of the same project. When the entire project was completed and advertised approximately one year later, I got a call out of the blue offering a unique opportunity to go beyond traditional railway design and kick it up a notch to the design of roller coasters - despite a great experience working with the professionals of Bettigole, Andrews & Clark, it was an opportunity too intriguing to pass up - the railway design experience provided a great background in getting acclimated to the unique engineering aspects of roller coaster design and having just completed our large railway project, the timing was perfect for a move
